canadian thanksgiving is in october, so i was able to celebrate thanksgiving twice a year

people are REALLY nice, for real, except for some of the jackhole drivers in their big trucks
the alberta sky is a crazy technicolor blue
two lady friends, with seven kids between them, who still found time for me
no need for air conditioning
the cat wanted to snuggle all the time because of the generally chilly air

it was easier to be healthy in Calgary than it was in Louisiana (mostly due to severe lack of tempting food, but still...)
restaurants seemed really expensive for the quality so we cooked more and saved more as a result
